Lockdown skeptics were right...
John Hopkins University Meta-analysis shows Lockdowns credited with just 0.2% reduction in deaths.
Itâs tricky isnât itâŚ?
How do we handle findings which are vindicating for those of us who could smell the b*lllshit from (almost) the start?âŚ
Do we yell, âI BLOODY WELL TOLD YOU SO!â when data emerges to confirm that Global lockdowns were a disproportionate response to a virus with such a low infection fatality rate, and that overwhelmingly targeted the elderly and unwell?
Do we yell, âSEE! LOSERS! WE TOLD YOU CANCER WAS NEGLECTED AND TEENAGERS MENTAL HEALTH WAS RUINED AND SUICIDES WERE UP AND JOBS WERE LOST AND FAMILIES DESSIMATED!ââŚâŚ.?
Yes...of course, we would like to do that. Such smugness feels good in the moment. I meanâŚreally, really goodâŚespecially when youâve paid a high price for your opinions, seen relationships spoiled and income plummet. It was painful to have my fears (about freedom, unprotected elderly, marginalised kids etc) repeatedly trumped by fears about nothing but covid deaths.
But itâs not very nice to rub peoplesâ noses in it. It lacks compassion. It ignores the genuine anxiety and fear that entire nations were conditioned - hell, hypnotised! - to feelâŚAnd some will have had their perception skewed by their jobs. Like the Obstetricians who shudder at ânatural birthâ because they only ever see poor outcomes, some frontline health care workers will have their viewpoint muddied by personal experiences. It would test even those with an iron constitution to keep a sense of proportion if theyâd worked long hours on a covid ward in spring 2020.
Some w*nkers of course, turned a blind eye to balanced debate just because they wanted to sit in the sun and drink beer while being paid by the government and I take some pleasure in telling them they were wrongâŚBut many millions just did what they believed to be right, generous and selfless. Itâs a mess that will take years to untangle and some relationships, in which beliefs were deeply entrenched yet different, may never recover.
But in the meantimeâŚ.HUGE applause to The John Hopkins University whose meta-analysis has revealed the pointlessness of locking up healthy humans and which made a mere squeak in the msm today.
Good on The Daily Mail though for running it here:
Not a mention on the BBC of course. They continue to tell us how wonderful and necessary it all was.
Another brief media story from today for anyone obsessed with radio (as I am). Iâve been waiting to see how the public mood would be reflected in the RAJAR listening figures. It has been very easy to divide broadcasters into two camps: those who wanted harder, stricter lockdowns and firmer compulsory vax mandates (ie uninformed, immoral bullies) versus those who believed in personal responsibility, protecting the vulnerable creatively, a stratified approach to injections and upholding the principle of universal bodily autonomy. With genuine sadness I found myself switching over from previously beloved presenters to seek out those who didnât want me to sh*t myself over artificially inflated death figures every ten minutes.
And so I found Talk Radio where qualified guests, fully-awakened callers and common-sensical presenters provided a healthy antidote to the unleavened diet of big-pharma and government-driven propaganda elsewhere. This wasnât an attempt to live in an âecho chamberâ of confirmatory bias. But to feel less like the only sane person in the room. And, letâs face it, with the whole of the legacy media cheering on the jabbernaut campaign and titilating the lockdown lovers, a few hours of Talk Radio every day was mere respite.
The story about Talk Radioâs success is hidden in this piece below, but as itâs The Guardian, theyâve gone for an angle which pitches âleft-wingâ James OâBrien as triumphing over âright wingâ Nick Ferrari (such outdated concepts donât you thinkâŚ?). Although, when it comes to talking sense about the pandemic, Iâve been painfully dissapointed by both. How about you? Love to know your thoughts.
Talk Radio is generally okay, but James Whale has basically been on a mission to destroy his own legacy over the last couple of years. I have compassion for the fact that he is suffering from cancer himself and that this drives his own position on lockdowns and mandates, but his lack of common sense and the patronising and frankly insulting way that he dismisses others view is just plain unforgiveable.
What a brilliantly written piece. Well done Bev! Compassion for all is key. Weâve ALL been brutally abused, psychologically bullied and gas lit and it has resulted in many having strong differences of opinion. Those that could see the abuse were often badly turned on by those that couldnât but as this all comes to light the key is to remember that those that attacked us had been abused themselves and scared out of their minds. When people are frightened they often attack. Our role now is to try and bring unity back to a nation that has been deliberately isolated and divided.
