People who demand apologies in life tend to be self-centred, competitive or both. What does forcing another person to apologize to you actually achieve? You might make empty words come out of someoneâs mouth, but if you donât like the policing of language in any form this is a little hypocritical. Forcing a child to say sorry forms a key role in modern parenting and I understand that - I too used to stand with my toddler son over the sandpit when theyâd nicked the best bucket and demand, perspiring and embarrassed that they âsay sorry.â It was my mother - from a generation of parents concerned about what is best for the child rather than what âlooks likeâ good parenting - who shrugged, âYou can make him say sorry, but it means nothing if he doesnât understand that he canât steal the bucket.â
The only time an apology feels satisfying to the recipient is if it is heartfelt; shows a deep and regretful understanding of why their behaviour was hurtful and signals a genuine willingness not to repeat the action which caused the need for contrition in the first place. But those sorries are as rare as an angry toddler calmly handing back the best bucket.
That video of me debating with Dermot OâLeary and Matthew Wright on ITVâs This Morning from June 2021 blew up again on social this week. Itâs now been watched almost a million times. One Twitter user, @CharlotteEmmaUk has been tirelessly curating a thread #neverforgetthesepeople reminding us who said what during the pandemic. I genuinely donât feel any lingering anger in my heart for the people I went up against on those debates. Itâs the benefit of having a shit memory - itâs impossible to bear a grudge. But those clips did bring back some bizarre and unpleasant recollectionsâŚand gave rise to lots of messages asking Dermott and Matthew to issue apologies for the factual inaccuracy of claiming that the jabs stopped transmission.
I donât need apologies. Everyone was under intense pressure. I had the time and desire to do a very, very deep dive into the lockdown / covid world and although itâs frustrating to think that my well-researched insights were dismissed as nonsense, I sleep easy at night knowing that I adhered to my values, I tried my best and played a small part in redressing the media imbalance. The wheel has turned, the NHS mandates were torn up, the truth about vaccine injuries is finally seeping out and messages about early-treatments are quietly being heardâŚ.or so I thoughtâŚuntil I went back on a TV show and found myself in a debate about whether âour sideâ can now feel vindicated. It was safe ground: the popular Dan Wootton show on GBNews. Dan has been an excellent anti-lockdown advocate and knows his stuff.
But, inevitably, Carol Malone and Benjamin Butterworth were soon barking, âHave you been vaccinated? Have you been vaccinated? Did you turn down your jab?â I held my head in my hands and asked if I had arrived at the studio in a time machine. Apparently, some people have not moved on! Some people, (journalists in fact!) who are meant to be on top of their game when it comes to such a significant event as the evolution of this virus, the efficacy of the âvaccinesâ and the increasing number of adverse reactions are stuck in June 2021! As you can see from the liberal use of exclamation marks here, I am in genuine shock!!
Even the mainstream media has begun to ask questions about lockdown harms and cases of vax injury have indeed popped up on Mail Online. Where is the instinct to question? Where is the drive to stop, take a moment to listen and ask whether there is anything in these cases that might signal a deeper problem which requires investigation? I have friends who bought the main stream media narrative hook, line and sinker but who remain firm friends. They now pour the coffee and ask, âSo tell me again about this IvermectinâŚâ I make no judgement about that. I make no judgement of anyone who couldnât countenance the fact that the government, the WHO, the media and the drug companies were lying to us (or massaging the truth due to perverse financial incentivesâŚsubtle difference).
I donât know what united those of us who could not trust the âpowerfulâ to have our best interests at heart: those of us who swam against the tide (and who still are!). But I am floored that there are people who are still prepared to go on TV and demonstrate proudly that their entrenched positions have not changed. Tellingly, the response I received from the clip has been 99.8% positive (similar to the covid infection survival rate Iâd say! ) and that is certainly different from 12 months ago when I was deemed âselfishâ and âdangerousâ for arguing against any situation in which the jabs would be mandated: to quote Dr Robert Malone, âWhere there is risk, there must be choice.â
This vaccine issue cannot be surmised in the simplistic questions flung around in those TV debates: do I think it worked? It doesnât matter what I think, it matters what the data says. Did it save millions of lives? Impossible to prove but looking at other countries, probably no more than early treatments would have. Did it harm more than it helped? Currently impossible to prove - we need more time and understanding of the immune pressure caused by jabbing indiscriminately during a pandemicâŚ.
Sadly, these enormous subjects cannot be unpicked by three panelists on a 6 minute segment. Where to start? And where to end?? Obviously, it ended with the personalâŚand my own, private medical information being demanded on live TV again.
But I donât need apologies. And I will always give up the best bucket if it means that people will even try to open their mindsâŚand listen.
Excellent piece Bev. Over the course of the entire pandemic we've repeatedly seen how some of the most intelligent people around have been consistently guilty of ignoring cast iron evidence, doubling down on positions that either have no scientific data to back them up or have been completely disproven. Laura Dodsworth summed it up best when she said that fear is the most powerful emotion and, as emotions trump thoughts, rationality and clear-minded analysis have been jettisoned by those who defaulted to their most primal of instincts. Something the government's behavioural scientists exploited with ruthless relentlessness.
When it comes to vaccine injuries it's obvious that, deep down, where their intelligence still resides in a state of propagandised hibernation, they know it was a risk to have the experimental jab. Yet it was still repeatedly taken because of fear, pressure and a desire not to be labelled with all sorts of malevolent tags created by the billions big pharma have spent on PR. So what we're experiencing now, and have been doing ever since March 2020, is a pandemic of cognitive dissonance the likes of which the world has never seen. Whether it's lockdown, masks, vaccines etc, people just can't reconcile the emerging truths with their actions and it's a lot easier to stick to their guns than deal with the emotional and intellectual fallout of being so catastrophically wrong. Particularly the fact that they may be in danger from their jabs and, as such, have threatened the lives of others with their previous dogmatic and ignorant assertions of 'safe and effective.'
Everything about Carol's behaviour screams fear. She doesn't talk over you because she genuinely believes her points to be more valid. It's because she's trying to convince herself she's right. Furthermore, she desperately needs to drown out anything and everything you say to protect herself from having to face truths that will trigger her suppressed worries and concerns. It's certainly rude, but also sad and pitiful to see an obviously educated person who's been so easily brainwashed by the kind of spin that, were it any other subject at any other time, she'd see through immediately. The fact she thinks Robert Malone has been discredited is merely a microcosm of her ignorance.
Like everyone else, I can only commend you for your dedication and bravery in the face of such adversity and outright hostility. You're a shining light and on the right side of history. Keep fighting the good fight and don't let the illegitimates get you down!
I applaud you, Bev, for getting the message out to be wary of these new health regimes from the start. Dr Robert Malone himself called them that and the word âvaccineâ was redefined to include them later. Under emergency licence till May 2023 and with indemnity for the pharmaceutical companies should they do any harm... what could there possibly be to be concerned about? Your treatment by Carole Malone last night was appalling, she is such a rude and opinionated woman, every view is valid and arrived at from your own personal experience. Keep up the good work, you and the marvellous Mark Steyn are the best presenters out there. Thank you for voicing your views.
